Sanskruti Marathe is an Indian-Canadian multidisciplinary writer whose stories move fluidly across stage and screen. She is the playwright of Shuth Chondi Hai, a South Asian family drama premiering with Pleiades Theatre at Canadian Stage in 2025, and the creator of At the End of Kaliyuga, a bold and imaginative children’s show presented at the Edinburgh and Toronto Fringe Festivals. Her debut short film Papa Ki Pari (Father’s Angel) was an official selection at Rendezvous with Madness and IFFSA Toronto.
As a playwright, Sanskruti pushes the boundaries of form—infusing her work with multiple languages, movement, and Indian classical aesthetics—to create resonant, innovative narratives that speak to both present and future generations of global audiences.
