Writer
Sanskruti Marathe is an Indian Canadian Multidisciplinary writer. She is a Co-Founder of Saawan Collective, a theatre collective focused on creating space for emerging South Asian Playwrights. She is the co-playwright of Shuth Chondi Hai a South-Asian Family drama set to be premired with Pleiades Theatre at CanStage. she is also the creator of At the End of Kaliyuga a though provoking children's show presented at the Edinburgh and Toronto Fringe Festivals. Her short film Papa Ki Pari (Father's Angel) was an official selection for the Rendezvous with Madness Toronto Festival's and IFFSA Toronto.
As a playwright and screen writer she focuses on joining the dots between art and spirituality to build a unique artistic practice. Her exploration involves breaking the boundaries of playwriting by using different languages, movement work, concepts from Indian classical dance to offer works that connect with present and future generations of global audiences.
